Why You Should Buy the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Pro – My Honest Take

Why You Should Buy the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Pro – My Honest Take

Alright, before I start — no, Samsung didn’t send me this phone for free. I actually bought the Galaxy S25 Ultra Pro with my own money (my credit card bill is still staring at me every morning). And yes, it’s expensive. You could probably buy a decent second-hand bike for the price. But after using it for a month… I honestly think it’s worth it.

I’ll break this post into real-life experiences, not boring tech specs, so you can decide if it’s actually for you or if you should just stick with your old phone.

First Impressions – Love at First Sight (Kind of)

When I opened the box, the first thing I thought was: “Man, this thing is HUGE.” The S25 Ultra Pro is not a small phone. If you have tiny hands, you’ll probably need two hands just to reply to a text.

The matte finish on the back? Gorgeous. I got the Titanium Gray version, and it looks… expensive. Like it belongs in a James Bond movie. But at the same time, I was also like, “Bro, I NEED a case, because if I drop this once, I’ll cry for a week.”

Turning it on, the display just punched me in the eyes (in a good way). That 144Hz AMOLED with HDR is pure insanity. Watching YouTube felt like I upgraded from normal vision to superhuman vision.

The Camera – My Inner Photographer is Happy

I’m not a professional photographer, but with the S25 Ultra Pro, I sometimes pretend I am. The 200MP main camera sounds like overkill, but here’s the thing — when you zoom into your photos, you notice stuff you didn’t even see while taking it. Like, I clicked a picture of my chai cup in the morning and later realized you could literally see the tiny steam swirls on top.

I also took it to a friend’s wedding and shot videos in 8K. Now, do I have a TV that supports 8K? No. Do I even need 8K? Probably not. But it’s one of those features you feel good about having, like heated seats in a car you never really use.

Night mode? Bro… it’s almost cheating. I clicked a photo at 11:30 PM in almost no light, and it looked like it was taken during golden hour. If you’re into Instagram, this phone basically makes you look like you hired a personal photographer.

The S Pen – I Thought I’d Never Use It… I Was Wrong

Honestly, I thought the S Pen was just a gimmick. But I’ve actually started using it. Sometimes when I’m on a call, I pull it out to jot down notes. I’ve also signed a PDF right on my phone without printing it.

The air gestures are… okay. I’m not standing in the metro waving my pen like Harry Potter just to change songs, but for scrolling and editing screenshots, it’s handy.

Performance – This Thing is a Rocket

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Pro + 16GB RAM = zero lag, zero stutter, zero frustration. I play BGMI and Genshin Impact, both on max settings, and the phone doesn’t even break a sweat. I did notice it gets slightly warm if you game for 40+ minutes, but nothing crazy.

I also edit videos on CapCut directly from my phone now. The render times are so fast I sometimes think I forgot to export properly — but no, it’s just that quick.

Battery Life – Better Than I Expected

With that big, bright display, I thought I’d have to charge twice a day. But nope. I get a full day of heavy use (gaming, Instagram, camera, YouTube) and still end with 20–25% battery. If I use it moderately, I can push it to almost two days.

The 65W fast charging is a lifesaver. I plugged it in for 20 minutes before going out and got over 50% battery. That’s enough to last me the entire evening.

Real-Life Moments Where the S25 Ultra Pro Won Me Over

Here’s where I feel the “worth it” part really comes in:

  1. During a power cut – I watched a 4K HDR Netflix movie on mobile data, and the battery barely dropped. My old phone would’ve been dead before the credits rolled.
  2. At my cousin’s birthday – Everyone’s photos were coming out blurry in low light. I whipped out my phone, took one shot, and the entire family started asking, “Bhai, send me that pic.” Felt like a hero.
  3. Work stuff – I had to urgently sign and send a document. Did it in under a minute with the S Pen. My friend, who was still trying to find a printer, was like, “Bro, you’re living in 2030.”

Small Annoyances (Because No Phone is Perfect)

Alright, I’m not gonna act like it’s all sunshine and rainbows. A few things bug me:

  • It’s heavy – After 30 mins of lying in bed watching reels, my wrist actually hurts.
  • Slippery without a case – If you keep it on your lap while sitting, there’s a 70% chance it will slide off.
  • Price – Even though I think it’s worth it, it still hurts knowing you could buy a decent laptop for the same money.

Should You Buy It?

If you’re someone who:

  • Loves photography or videography
  • Wants top-tier gaming performance
  • Multitasks like crazy (work + entertainment + creativity)
  • Likes the idea of having the flagship phone of the year

…then yes, the Galaxy S25 Ultra Pro will not disappoint you.

But if you:

  • Just use your phone for WhatsApp and watching YouTube
  • Hate heavy phones
  • Don’t want to spend a small fortune

…then honestly, you can get away with something like the Galaxy S23 or even a good mid-range phone.

My Final Verdict

After a month with the Galaxy S25 Ultra Pro, I can confidently say this is the most complete phone I’ve ever used. It’s overkill in the best way possible. It’s like buying a sports car you don’t really need but secretly always wanted.

I know the price will scare people off, but for me, it’s an investment in a device I use for literally everything — work, entertainment, photography, and even as my notebook.

Will I regret it when the S26 Ultra Pro comes out next year? Probably a little. But for now… I’m just enjoying it.
